stop crying about it. if you can't protect your ore or write it off, use protection. Lots of noob corps or mercs will protect you for a small fee. im sure if you pay 10% of your ore, 1m, whichever is more, you can get someone to protect you.
even still, you really should be using t2 drones and scrams for protection if you're going it alone. be prepared to either book it or defend yourself if you attack someone.

That's not a bad solution. However alts do serve a purpose and to not have them would be bad too. In the end I think it's gonna come down to, protect your can if you are able to do so, if not, find someplace quiet to mine and let the poor saps that mine in populated sysems deal with ore thieves, or put up with the possible loss as part of the cost of doing business.
Another option is go steal ore your self, find some people that have been in an NPC corp for six months, have the noob agent only and a stupid name and steal ore from them. Some of them fight back, most don't.
I cleaned out Ashab with this tactic. Farmers are bad for the game. Marcos are worse. i'll steal their ore over and over until they leave the system i happen to be flying through, and i'll do it without regret or remorse. i don't care what ship i'm in, i'll grief the hell out of you if you're farming or macroing and i won't care to hear you crying.

I will, however leave legit corp ops alone. I'll even mine with them or fly security if the mood strikes me.
